Altea la Vieja (the “old Altea”, in the Valenciano dialect also called “Altea La Vella”)

is a picturesque district of Altea, about 3.5 KM from Altea city center

with its own small town centre, shops and also a small old town with a church. Approximately 600 inhabitants, a total of 2400 inhabitants if you include the surrounding urbanisations

(Alhama and Sierra de Altea).

The Don Cayo golf course is located in the Sierra de Altea urbanization. Its white houses, its location between the sea and the mountains, its fantastic gastronomy and the friendliness of its residents, together with the excellent climate all year round, are more than enough reasons to appreciate this place.

In addition to the urbanizations Sierra de Altea and Alhama Springs, there is also the urbanization El Paradiso, Urb. Monte Rico and the Urb. Santa Clara.

Beautiful villas and properties are located in these urbanizations, all protected from the weather from the north by the striking Sierra Bernia (mountain range). Residents from all over Europe and the world ensure an international, cosmopolitan ambience.

Altea la vella with two supermarkets, bakeries, petrol station, post office, newsagent, hairdresser, ironmonger, doctors and its tapas bars and restaurants is the closest supply centre for all surrounding urbanisations. The transport links from Altea la Vieja to the national road and the motorway are excellent.
